Activation Guide

Activate and configure your SecureAS Crimson Series NVR completely through a web browser without connecting a monitor or screen to the NVR.

Complete NVR setup without a monitor

The SecureAS Crimson Series allows technicians to activate, configure and manage a new NVR directly from a PC browser connected to the NVR network. This removes the need for a dedicated display during initial installation.

Activate and configure your NVR

Follow these steps to prepare a new SecureAS Crimson Series NVR for operation.

Connect and access the NVR

Connect your PC and the NVR to the same network. Open a supported web browser and enter the NVR IP address.

  • No dedicated monitor is required.
  • Use a PC connected to the NVR network.
  • Open the NVR IP address in the browser.

Install the Multi-Browser Plugin

The first browser session requires the SecureAS Multi-Browser Plugin for complete NVR control.

  • Download the plugin from the official SecureAS source.
  • Run the lightweight installation package.
  • Complete the standard installation process.
  • Refresh the browser after installation.

Create the NVR password

On the initial login, the NVR requires a new password before configuration can continue.

  • Username: admin
  • Enter the newly created password.
  • Save the password securely.
  • Confirm the successful password setup.

Format the hard disk

A newly installed hard disk will initially appear as unformatted and must be prepared for recording.

  • Open the storage or disk management section.
  • Select the unformatted hard disk.
  • Click Format Disk.
  • Confirm that the disk status becomes Normal.

Configure basic parameters

Configure the basic system preferences after completing the initial activation.

  • Select the appropriate timezone.
  • Configure the system language.
  • Review the SecureAS cloud ID information.
  • Review available VMS application information.

Reboot the NVR

Rebooting the NVR is an important part of the initial activation process.

  • Initiate reboot from the browser interface.
  • Wait for the NVR to restart completely.
  • Log in again using the new password.
  • Continue with camera configuration.

Manage the NVR directly from the browser

After activation and reboot, additional system and camera configuration can be completed remotely.

Enable Channels

Enable the required IP camera channels through remote settings.

Search Devices

Search the network to discover compatible SecureAS IP cameras.

SecureAS Protocol

Use the SecureAS discovery process to locate available cameras.

Change Camera IP

Camera network addresses can be modified directly from the interface.

192.168.1.88 → 192.168.1.89

Assign Channel

Select the camera and assign it to the required NVR channel.

View Live Feed

Select the main stream or sub-stream to view the camera feed.
